Kerry ETB provides primary, second level and further education. Kerry ETB is the patron of 8 post-primary schools and the joint trustee of 4 Community and Comprehensive schools.
It is the aim of Kerry ETB to provide the highest quality educational experience for our pupils/students in line with the Department of Education and Skills Looking at our Schools Quality Framework for Primary and Post Primary Schools and the DES Digital Learning Framework for Primary Schools and Post Primary Schools. It is also our aim to provide the highest standard of student care through our Wellbeing and Student Support Teams in each of our schools in line with the DES Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Schools 2018-23.
Our primary and post primary schools are mixed gender, multidenominational and our approach to education is informed by the following core values; excellence, care, equality, community based and multidenominational.
Kerry ETB has a long history of supporting excellence in teaching, learning and assessment in their schools through the Developing Schools Enriching Learning Programme (DSEL), which provides an annual programme of in-service for teachers and school leaders in all areas of leadership and management, learning, teaching and assessment, Digital Strategies, school self-evaluation and planning and student care and support. Schools are supported on an ongoing basis through the principals and deputy principals’ networks, teacher networks, the provision of the SEN Support, ICT Support, collaboration with parents and students through the Parents and Student Fora.
At a corporate level schools are supported on a daily basis in their overall governance responsibilities by the following Kerry ETB Departments; Education, Human Resources, Finance and Procurement, Corporate Support and Capital Development and ICT.
