Kerry College was part of the Careers Clinic at the Kerry Jobs Fair 2022 on April 25th, 2022, hosted by NEWKD in collaboration with the Kerry Chambers. The Admissions Office met people looking to upskill, change careers or focus on progression to further or higher education. Over 600 people attended the fair, and the response from all involved was very positive.
Not only was it a fantastic opportunity to meet prospective learners face to face, but it was also beneficial to meet such a wide variety of Kerry-based employers. Having the chance to spend the day with these employers provided an excellent opportunity to explore local and national services in closer detail, which will undoubtedly help inform the development of future Kerry College courses.
Kerry College has an extensive range of innovative courses specific to high-demand sectors such as construction and IT. Additionally, with interest in renewable energy growing in popularity with employers and job seekers alike, there was great interest in the recently launched Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.
On the day, employers and applicants were happy to learn that Kerry College has eliminated fees for full-time courses, removing barriers and making further education and training at Kerry College more accessible for everyone.
Kerry College. Life. Changing.
